Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye.....PYAASA

Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaaye
Film: PYAASA
Poet : Saahir Ludhianvi
Music : SD Burman

Yeh Mehlon, Yeh Takhton, Yeh Taajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Insaan Ke Dushman Samaajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Daulat Ke Bhookhey Rawajon Ki Duniya,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Har Ek Jism Ghayal, Har Ek Rooh Pyaasi,
Nigahon Mein Uljhan, Dilon Mein Udaasi,
Yeh Duniya Hai Ya Aalam-e-Badhawasi,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Yahaan Ek Khilona Hai Insaan Ki Hasti,
Yeh Basti Hai Murda Paraston Ki Basti,
Yahaan Par To Jeevan Se Hai Maut Sasti,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Jawaani Bhatakti Hai Badakaar Ban Kar,
Jawaan Jism Sajtey Hain Bazaar Ban Kar,
Yahaan Pyaar Hota Hai Byopaar Ban Kar,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Yeh Duniya Jahaan Aadmi Kuch Nahi Hai,
Wafa Kuch Nahi, Dosti Kuch Nahi Hai,
Yahaan Pyaar Ki Qadr Hi Kuch Nahi Hai,
Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai.

Jala Do Isey, Phoonk Dalo Yeh Duniya.
Mere Saamne Se Hata Lo Yeh Duniya,
Tumhari Hai Tum Hi Sambhalo Yeh Duniya,

Yeh Duniya Agar Mil Bhi Jaye To Kya Hai?

Of palaces, thrones and crowns, this world,
Enemy of humanity, keeper of society, this world,
Ravenous for wealth, stuck in old norms, this world,
This world as is, of little value attained.

Each being is wounded, every soul unquenched,
Confused is their vision, with sorrow hearts drenched,
What kind of a world is this, full of insanity?
This world as is, of little value attained.

A plaything here, is man’s very existence,
Where communities diefy death each instance,
Cheaper here to perish than fight for a living,
This world as is, of little value attained.

Youth wanders about clad in apathy,
Beauty’s auctioned in the marketplace,
Emotions traded on the floor of mediocrity,
This world as is, of little value attained.

A world where a human is simply nothing,
Devoid of loyalties, friendships are absent,
Where love is a non-entity, all value bereft,
This world as is, of little value attained.

Burn it, raise it, into the ground, unto dust,
Rid me of the travails of this world,
T’isnt much of a world anyway, keep it!
This world as is, of little value attained.
